The Bewitching Home Blog Party will be held Saturday, October 13, 2012 from midnight to midnight! Please post a link to your actual party post on THE PARTY POST HERE AT THE WITCH OF HOWLING CREEK which will be available at 12:00 am on October 13. See you then!

A party fit for witches of all times and places, be you a domestic damsel like Samantha…

a harried cook like Piper…

or wouldn’t know what to do with a waffle iron if it, er, smacked you upside the head!

Give us your best Hallow’s Eve recipes, decorations, party ideas, craft projects (or even your biggest domestic disasters!) So long as it’s a little bit spooky and a little bit sweet, anything goes in the Bewitching Home!

How It Works

  1. Leave a comment on this post that you would like to join.
  2. Share the button on your blog as soon as you sign up and link it to this post. I will add your name to the blogroll at the bottom of the page
  3. On October 13th, put up a fabulous blog post. The only limits are your imagination and that it must be somehow domestic-related (food, decorating, entertaining, how to get candle wax off tables, etc.)
  4. Leave a comment on the actual party post here at The Witch of Howling Creek on the day of with a link to your actual party post (please be sure the link is to the blog post itself, not just your blog home page.)
  5. Blog hop to all of the awesome parties and leave comments wherever you can to let everyone know they’re loved!

Notes

  • If you sign up and later find that you won’t be around to manually put up your post, please schedule it so that it goes live around the same time as the rest.
  • If you sign up and later find that you won’t be able to do a post at all, please let me know so I can remove you from the blogroll.
  • You will be receiving a good deal of traffic on the day of the party so please make it easy on your guests by turning off comment approval, etc.

  1. I’m already itching to start decorate. I even picked the first new decorations of the year at the Dollar Tree yesterday so I’m definitely pumped about this party!

    1. Oh cool! I can’t believe how early the fall decorations start going out but it’s great for us! I’ve gone ahead and added you to the blogroll but don’t forget to post the button on your blog somewhere. 🙂

  2. I was just visiting my friend Mina at Green Witch With Sprinkles and heard about your party, I would love to join this fabulous party. Cannot wait to see what everyone brings.

  3. I’d love to participate – thank you for taking the time to come over and invite me to play along. Magaly seems to know me oh so well! 🙂

  4. I’ve already begun making lists and gathering art supplies for this years, Halloween.
    Please count me in!!
It’s comforting to know that others get Fall and Halloween Fever besides myself.

  5. I’m in! I’ll be taking part in a few parties – but the more, the merrier! I love a good Autumn/Halloween/Samhain bash!

  6. Definitely add me! I’m planning with my non-witchy roommate to throw a Hallow’s Eve/Halloween/Samhain/Dios de los Muertos? (she has the spanish influence part) party and I’ll be up to my eyeballs (and elbows,in pumpkin goo that is) figuring out pumpkin recipes and carving and party planning!

  7. WoooHooo! I’m so excited about this one. And I LOVE the button, which by the way I had not seen. I was over at Rue and Hyssop and saw it and came to snatch it to add it to my blog. Now I’m doing a little dance!

  8. The wind is blowing fall essence all around my house today. My husband always said I remind him of Samantha…. to bad I can’t twitch my nose and all be done. So excited I came across here. Count me in!

  9. If it’s not too late, would love to be part of the party! I stumbled over a link on Facebook that brought me here and it sounds like fun. My blog is at http://livrancourt.com/blog/ Thanks so much. It might take me a couple days to get your button up on my blog, but I promise I’ll do it!

    1. Happy to have you join! Unfortunately, the URL you’ve provided takes me to a Blogspot “Blog not found” page. Could you check the link again?

  10. What a great idea! I’d love to take part if that is still possible – I haven’t participated in one of these before. I’ve been in a bit of a blogging lull lately – You’ve inspired me to do something fun for the party on my blog and to start posting again :)!!

  11. I’m in! I have a post planned already and everything! Hope it’s alright if my post comes a big later in the evening; my son is having a pirate party!

  12. I recently posted from Ramblings of a Twin Witch that I wanted to participate. Can you please change the URL to show texaswitchtwin.wordpress.com? Because of recently Blogger troubles, I feel that I needed to change. Thanks!

  13. I just found you and I am so excited I love Samantha and all things Halloween! Please count me in. Off to come up with an idea, or actually narow them down. Thanks so much for putting this together.

  14. Hi, could you remove Dandelion Driveway from the blogroll. I had planned to bake, but my oven is broken and won’t be fixed in time. 😦 Thank you. Can’t wait to see what everyone else is doing.

    1. No problem – I will post an “early birds” comment on the main party post first thing tomorrow morning and will include your link! Thanks for joining in!

    1. My pleasure! I will be doing an early birds comment on the main party post first thing tomorrow morning – would you like me to include your link or would you rather comment on the post yourself tomorrow?

    1. Hi Dana! The party post will actually be going up in about a minute – if you could post your link there, that would be great! I wouldn’t want you to get missed. 🙂

    1. Hey Magaly – could you post your link on the actual party post? I wouldn’t want you to get missed! The post is the very first thing on the carousel of featured posts on my home page. 🙂

  15. Hmm it appears like your blog ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any tips for rookie blog writers? I’d certainly appreciate it.

  16. I have discovered that smart real estate agents all over the place are starting to warm up to FSBO Marketing and advertising. They are knowing that it’s in addition to placing a sign post in the front property. It’s really pertaining to building relationships with these sellers who at some time will become customers. So, when you give your time and energy to assisting these traders go it alone : the “Law of Reciprocity” kicks in. Interesting blog post.

  17. Hi, Neat post. There is a problem with your site
in internet explorer, could test this? IE still is the marketplace leader
and a huge element of folks will leave out your excellent writing due to this problem.
