Autumn: Season of Pumpkins

(Whoops – this was supposed to go up yesterday but the flu and a family obligation kept me away from my computer!)

And the season of pumpkins is officially upon us. 🙂 Pumpkins are so evocative of the season, more so than maize, falling leaves and even ghosts and goblins. Their friendly orange faces adorn our porches, hearths and, yes, stoves, for the next month or two, cheerily ringing in autumn. There are so many fantastic, creative uses for pumpkins that I am just going to list five of my favorites from around the internets (okay, from Martha Stewart, Etsy and BHG – I’m biased):

Easiest Pumpkin Carving Technique: Cookie Cutter Pumpkins

Witchiest Carved Pumpkin: Celtic Knot Pumpkins

Most Delicious Pumpkin Dessert: Ginger Pumpkin Meringue Pie

Most Unusual Use of Pumpkin: Pumpkin Gnocchi with Mushrooms

Most Magickal Pumpkin Buy: Pumpkin Fairy House
