Some things are unexpectedly magickal and often they are the very best kind of magick. All too frequently we forget about these things in favor of spells and rituals and waving our hands.
The musty smell of new old books.
Squinting at the horizon for boats coming in from the sea.
Falling asleep in the car and waking up at your destination.
Trying crazy new foods and loving them.
These are the little all-important things no one, but especially we witches, should neglect.

Merry meet!
I just nominated your beautiful blog for the Beautiful Blogger Award. Congratulations! Please, visit my blog to learn more: http://bookofshadowsblog.wordpress.com/2012/08/23/beautiful-blogger-award/.
Blessed be,
Cassandra.
Ohh thank you so much Cassandra – you’re too sweet!
I feel I’ve done a few too many posts about myself lately so I’m going to hold off on this one for a while but thank you!
I completely understand. When I received my first blog award I was so happy. And then there were just so many awards in a short time. Now, I’m still happy when I receive one, I just don’t fell the “charm” when I get it.
I hope you did enjoy my article about the Llewellyn’s Almanac you’ve gifted me. I noticed your comment, and I have to say that I actually received the almanac before you said I would. It only took 2 weeks.
Brightest blessings,
Cassandra.
I love the smell of old books. The one’s I pick up at thrift stores usually have amazing notes and things tucked into them.
Oh me too! I have a favorite used bookstore that just smells like heaven.
You are so correct! Old book smell is one of my favorites!
Me too!
All your posts come up blank in my e-mail!!!
Oh I’m so sorry to hear that! Have you checked that your email isn’t blocking the content? I know sometimes my email does that – it doesn’t go to spam but it blocks the content in case there’s anything spammy.
Letting you know I nominated your blog for a Sunshine Award. Falling asleep at the wheel and awakening at your destiny is good if you aren’t the driver.
Thank you so much – I’m honored!
I was actually nominated for this award by two other bloggers a few weeks ago so this is the post I did to thank them: http://witchofhowlingcreek.wordpress.com/2012/08/17/thank-you-so-much-sunshine-award/
great great point here! But I had a chuck about “Falling asleep in your car and arriving at your destination.” You mean, while driving? LOL!!
No!! Haha – as a PASSENGER!
that was supposed to be “chuckle”
hi, your blog is so colorful and interesting!! i want to say that i nominated you for the super sweet blogging award!
Oh thank you so much, that’s wonderful! I’m holding off on awards right now as I feel I’ve done too many award posts recently but I’ll save it for next time I do one.
no problem, i understand
It’s in the small everyday things I think we find the true magic of life. It is easy to get overlooked in a world were everything gets commercialized.
I’ve left you a blog award on my blog Witchery Grove if you would like it.
